Wood and plastic are not compatible
Before purchasing, please note that Mokulock bricks are not compatible with other plastic bricks.
We purchase Mokulock bricks from a wholesaler who states that the bricks are compatible with Lego and Duplo bricks. This is fundamentally correct, because apart from the material, the products are very similar in design, length, width and height.
However, the feedback from our customers has shown us that a similarity is not enough to have fun with both products at the same time. The wood behaves completely different from plastic, so that building blocks wedge together and can only be removed with great effort.
We cannot therefore recommend Mokulock as a supplement to Lego or Duplo building sets. Mokulock is an environmentally friendly alternative, not an addition to similar plastic building blocks.
The woods used
Japanese cherry
The colored layers of the annual rings (dark green, yellow, pink, white, etc.) create the pink color of this cherry wood.
Japanese Zelkova
This wood with its hard and cool surface and the golden color structure is also called "arrow bamboo".
Japanese magnolia
This wood has a soft surface. This softness is reflected in the mild white color of the heartwood.
birch
The bright color of the birch expresses the nostalgia for trees in human life. The surface of the wood fits into your hand as if you had been using it for a long time.
Hornbeam
Even if it doesn't look like it, the surface is very smooth. The smell of the wood, like its color, is perceived as refreshing.
maple
The bright, bright color of the maple immediately catches the eye and the smooth, shiny surface makes it feel good.
